It’s a difficult thing to assess without more information, but generally, noisy garage doors are often caused by dry rollers, worn-out hardware, or a door that’s out of balance. A tune-up with proper lubrication, tightening, and adjustments usually solves the problem and restores smooth, quiet operation. If it takes more than that, we’ll do a full assessment and provide you with all the information you need—before we begin any work.
Sometimes it’s just weak batteries, but it could also be a signal issue, a misprogrammed remote, or a problem with the opener’s circuit board. Give us a call! We can quickly diagnose the issue and get your remote back in working order.
There could be several reasons. You might have a broken spring, a worn-out motor gear, an obstruction in the sensors, or even a power issue. Our Tune-Up Overhaul Kit replaces worn-out moving parts to boost performance, safety, and lifespan. Pricing depends on your door—and the parts needed; your tech will assess and explain the best options for your setup. As a part of our service call, however, the standard includes a full inspection, lubrication of all moving parts, tightening of loose hardware, balance testing, alignment check, and any needed adjustments to ensure your door runs smoothly and safely. We also inspect springs, tighten the springs if needed, inspect rollers, cables, and tracks to catch potential issues before they become big problems. Check out our Services page for more information.
If your door won’t open, slams shut, or moves unevenly, the spring may be broken. You might also hear a loud bang or notice a visible gap in the torsion spring. Springs are under extreme tension and should always be handled by a trained professional to avoid serious injury.
Important Safety Notice: Garage doors with broken springs are extremely heavy. Do not attempt to open or close the door. Call us today to schedule your service and get your garage door back in top condition.

In most states, once a year is enough. But here in Arizona—especially in the Valley—we recommend having your garage door serviced twice a year: once at the beginning of summer and again at the start of winter. The extreme temperature shifts can affect springs, motors, and weather seals, so seasonal tune-ups help prevent breakdowns and keep your system running smoothly. Talk to your technician, though, for information on how you can keep up with general maintenance of your garage door system.
